Featured Artist – Mia Ives-Rublee (June – August)
This month, we welcome Durham artist Mia Ives-Rublee. Mia gained an appreciation for rough textures and laid-back atmospheres while growing up in the South. Her photos are often framed from a low perspective due to her use of a wheelchair. Her low angled framing provides for a unique street style photography. Mia has a master’s degree in social work and currently works full-time at UNC-Chapel Hill. She also works part-time at CrossFit Local. In her free time, she does photography and is a civil rights activist. You can find more of her photography on the web at www.dogstarprint.com or on her Instagram page: @dawgstar84
